Product Description

Known by many different names, the Bluebelle POL hen is a firm favourite for a laying flock, mainly due to the fact that she is just so pretty. The feathers range from a light to a dark grey, often darker around the neck and head, occasionally with copper coloured neckline. Quite large hens, feathers look very uniform and glossy. These eggs quite often have a pink tinge to them.

Egg colour is a plummy or pinkish tinge - although technically they are light brown.

You can expect approx. 300-310 eggs per year.

Your hen may start to lay at around 18-20 weeks old, she will be laying at 50% capacity by the time she is 22 weeks old, and will be at full laying capacity at around 30 weeks old.

Here is our list of recommended supplements available on Amazon - we strongly suggest you have a look and buy one (they are less then £10 as a rule) as the hens will sell will shortly be coming into lay, and the supplements really do help. It's stressful enough moving coops - without then having 7 kids a week... https://amzn.to/3v29tj6

Available

Available 21st September - Bluebell or Blue Haze hens are pretty birds, laying a slightly pinkish coloured light brown egg. Feathers look very luxurious and soft, a nice uniformed lady for a garden flock. They are the most relaxing though, but they look good.
