If you’re after buying chickens, and want something bold and beautifully marked, our Gold Laced Brahmas are a cracking choice. These big, gentle birds bring real presence to a flock, and their golden scalloping always draws attention. You can buy online, place a reservation, or come and pick out your own birds once the season begins.
Our new season starts on 14 February 2026 and runs through to August. Gold Laced Brahmas are added to the website as they reach the right age for sale, so numbers vary from week to week. They’re always popular, so reserving early is the best way to make sure you don’t miss out.
Housing and Care
As a large, heavy breed, Brahmas enjoy roomy housing and plenty of dry ground to keep those feathered legs in good condition. They’re steady, friendly birds that fit well into calm flocks.
For the best results, don’t mix pure breeds with hybrids, as their temperaments don’t always match. Bantams should also be kept with birds of a similar size, but our Brahmas are reared happily with our bantams, so you can mix and match when buying from us. (Even though technically they best grouped with other large fowl like Salmon Favourelles)
Ordering and Dispatch
Orders are dealt with strictly in the order they’re received. Once your birds are ready, we’ll be in touch to arrange collection or delivery depending on what you chose at checkout. Reserving ahead secures your place in the queue.
