Available to order for collection MARCH 1st 2025 - These pretty Gold / Buff coloured birds are lovely to look at inquisitive, friendly and good egg layers, and make up a good mix to be part of your flock. We often recommend buying a selection of different coloured birds when you are first setting up your flock, so you can bond with them and recognise their different personalities easily. This a fairly unusual colour and is certainly one to add to your mix. They always seem to be the first hens to come up and say hello, and we would say that they are the quickest to tame. No idea why, but every year, these are the friendliest. 

Egg colour is ranges from Champagne to a Light Brown, and can be seen in the photo below. 

You can expect approx. 300-310 eggs per year. 

Your hen may start to lay at around 18-20 weeks old, she will be laying at 50% capacity by the time she is 22 weeks old, and will be at full laying capacity at around 30 weeks old.
