Available to from Saturday 21st September - If you live in Sussex, or even on the South Coast, then the Light Sussex Hen is certainly one of the ladies you may like to consider for your flock as they are named after Sussex! With white bodies, these ladies have pretty black necklace of feathers, as well as stunning black tail feathers. Robust and hardy, ideal for the first time keeper. 

Egg colour is ranges from Champagne to a Light Brown, and can be seen in the photo below. 

You can expect approx. 300-310 eggs per year. 

Your hen may start to lay at around 18-20 weeks old, she will be laying at 50% capacity by the time she is 22 weeks old, and will be at full laying capacity at around 30 weeks old.
