Product Description

Did you know that Millefleur come from the french for 'a thousand flowers' which is exactly what these lovely laying hens look like, covered in flowers, or speckles. Millefleur leghorns are fantastic layers but can be more flighty and less easy to tame than other chickens in the same flock. The benefit of this is that they really don't get involved in flock arguments, they just want to scratch around, eat, and lay. So perfect if egg production and an easy hen is your goal. We wouldn't say these are great for children as they can be a bit too flappy.

Egg colour is white, off white, or pale cream. You don't know exactly until your hen lays.

You can expect approx. 310+ eggs per year.

Your hen may start to lay at around 18-20 weeks old, she will be laying at 50% capacity by the time she is 22 weeks old, and will be at full laying capacity at around 27 weeks old.

Here is our list of recommended supplements available on Amazon - we strongly suggest you have a look and buy one (they are less then £10 as a rule) as the hens will sell will shortly be coming into lay, and the supplements really do help. It's stressful enough moving coops - without then having 7 kids a week... https://amzn.to/3v29tj6

Brilliant laying chicken of pale white, or pale cream-coloured eggs. Not overly friendly, can be a bit manic, but is very low maintenance, if you just want eggs, with no drama, she's your girl and won't get into any flock arguments. Very pretty markings - each hen is totally unique.
