Our beautiful Poland day old chicks are hatching here on the farm throughout July 2026. If you're looking to buy friendly, eye-catching bantam chicks, Poland chicks are always a popular choice thanks to their distinctive crests and gentle personalities.

We hatch a lovely selection of Poland colours, including Gold Laced, Chamois, Pure White, and our striking Black with White Crested Polands—affectionately known on the farm as our "Cruella" Polands. When you visit, you're welcome to choose your own chicks from those available on the day.

Because it's almost impossible to tell cockerels from pullets at this age, all of our Poland chicks are sold unsexed. You're welcome to have a guess while you're here, but we can't guarantee the sex of any chick.

Our Poland chicks are raised alongside our newly hatched Silkie, Pekin, and Brahma chicks, so if you'd like a mixed flock, simply add some other chicks to your order as well.

Caring for Your Chicks

Day old chicks need a suitable heat lamp or brooder until they're fully feathered, which is usually around 4 weeks of age. During warm summer weather, they can move outside much sooner than chicks reared in colder months.

Although we describe them as day old chicks, those available for collection may actually be anywhere from 1 day to around 3 weeks old, depending on when you place your order. If you'd like to know the age of the chicks currently available, just give us a call or send us a message before visiting.

For the welfare of our birds, we do not sell single chicks. Chicks are happiest with company, so the minimum purchase is two chicks.

Whether you're buying your first bantams or adding to an existing flock, our Poland chicks are full of charm, personality and character, making them a wonderful addition to any garden flock.
