These charming bantams, famous for their tailless appearance and striking blue eggs, are a delightful addition to any small, peaceful back garden flock. At 17–18 weeks old, our Rumpless Araucanas are fully vaccinated and ready to settle into their new home. They’ll typically begin laying their vibrant blue eggs around 24 weeks of age.

What We Offer:

Breed: Rumpless Araucana Bantam – known for their compact size, tailless shape, and beautiful feather patterns.
Point-of-Lay Bantams: Healthy, fully vaccinated, and ideal for small flocks.
Colour Varieties: Until they come from the hen nursery, we do not know exactly what colour feathered bird we will get - you can select your own bird and colour on the day.

Feeding: Start with growers' pellets until 18 weeks, then transition to layers' pellets as they near laying age. Fresh greens and grains make excellent occasional treats.
Flock Integration: Introduce them slowly to other bantams using separate housing or a secure pen. We do not recommend mixing them with hybrid hens, as their small size and gentle nature may put them at risk of bullying.

Flock Compatibility: Best kept with other bantams in groups of at least three to ensure social happiness.
Vaccination: All hens are fully vaccinated to ensure they are healthy and ready to join your flock.
Collection: Available for collection only from 1st February 2025, with colour selection on the day - you will need to pre-order your hens before you come.

Delivery & Collections

All livestock, including chickens, turkeys, quails, and rabbits have to be collected in person. We do not offer delivery on ANY livestock.

We DO offer delivery on all of our hatching eggs, these are sent by Royal Mail.

Rumpless Araucanas are delightful birds, but their eggs are amazing - such a stunning blue shell. These birds are available to reserve now, and can be collected from 1st February 2025 onwards. They often come in different colours, and you can chose your own coloured birds on the day. These are more about the egg colour than the feather colour.
