Looking to buy Runner Duck hatching eggs for your next hatch? We’re now taking reservations for spring 2026, with the next available dispatches from very early March 2026. Our runner ducks are already laying and we are now starting to dispatch orders for those people who are on the waiting list already.
We send eggs UK-wide via tracked delivery, each one carefully packed into shaped polystyrene boxes inside sturdy cardboard outers to help protect them from knocks and temperature changes during transit. It’s a system that’s served us well over many seasons of hatching and posting. Collection is always welcome if you’re nearby — it’s the best way to achieve the highest hatch rates for fertile duck eggs, which are harder to hatch than chicken eggs.
Fertility typically runs around 70%, and posted hatches usually come out at about half, which is completely normal. So you may only get 2 or 3 ducklings hatching from 6 hatching eggs. You’re also welcome to add our Hatching Egg Guide to your basket — available as either a printed sheet or digital download — which covers care, storage, and incubation. As a tip, it’s best to let your eggs rest for 24 hours before setting so the air cells settle properly.
We often have other breeds available too, including Commerical White Aylesbury, Khaki Campbells, and Muscovoy Duck Hatching Eggs, , so you can mix your hatch if you’d like a variety. Quantities are limited each week once laying begins, so early reservations do help secure your spot.
