Collection is always welcome if you’re nearby — it’s the best way to achieve the highest hatch rates for fertile duck eggs, which are harder to hatch than chicken eggs.

Fertility typically runs around 70%, and posted hatches usually come out at about half, which is completely normal. So you may only get 2 or 3 ducklings hatching from 6 hatching eggs. As a tip, it’s best to let your eggs rest for 24 hours before setting so the air cells settle properly.

We often have other breeds available too, including Commerical White Aylesbury, Khaki Campbells, and Muscovoy Duck Hatching Eggs, , so you can mix your hatch if you’d like a variety. Quantities are limited each week once laying begins, so early reservations do help secure your spot.
