Product Description

Everyone loves a bit of colour in their egg box, and these blue eggs laying hens work their magic with pretty blue and green pastel coloured eggs. You can tell who will lay a green or blue egg by looking for the feathers on the top of the head, theres always some extra feathers behind the comb, fluffy heads mean a coloured egg layer. These birds come in several different feather options, from light blonde to dark ginger, and occasionally a bluey grey bird too - you can pick your exact bird when you come to collect, we try to have every colour choice available. They do lay less eggs that the traditional brown eggs layers, you will get 4/5 per week, but with these ladies, it's the egg colour that is most impressive.

Egg colour ranges from a pastel blue to a light to mid bluey egg,  you won't know what you are going to get until they start to lay.

You can expect approx. 210 eggs per year.

Your hen may start to lay at around 18-20 weeks old, she will be laying at 50% capacity by the time she is 22 weeks old, and will be at full laying capacity at around 30 weeks old.

Here is our list of recommended supplements available on Amazon - we strongly suggest you have a look and buy one (they are less then £10 as a rule) as the hens will sell will shortly be coming into lay, and the supplements really do help. It's stressful enough moving coops - without then having 7 kids a week... https://amzn.to/3v29tj6
